Mt Hermon Map

The village of Bayt-Jan, where I was born and brought up, is on the eastern slopes of Mount Hermon (zoom in to see the name if you like -only they spelled it Bayt-Jinn which doesn't produce the right pronunciation- should be Bayt-Jan), 60km south west of Damascus: just turn right before Sa'sa, and keep driving to the very end of the highway.

AHWAJ Creek: a tributary of the Barada river that goes through Damascus and ends in the Uteiba lake.

AHWAJ Creek valley famous for the most beautiful apricots, apples, cherries and wall nuts.

A general mountain view of Bay-Jan.
